i am working on karmic. trying to upload a picture to a webpage from within the browser. however, the upload window NEVER updates the content of ANY drive, even after cancelling and clicking "upload" again; more, even after unmounting an sd card, after it acknowledges it is not present, and mounting it again: it still shows the OLD folder contens. updating the list of volumes takes some 30 minutes (in this case i mean network shares which i mounted in the meantime), but curiously the very folder i have the picture in on the other computer is unavailable ("pink" background instead of contens shown). i just can't upload the picture at all.
how's that for FRUSTRATING? and for geological time waste?
